How do you Protect your Phone?

How Would you Protect your "App Phone"?

If you had an "App Phone" (Apple iPhone, HTC Touch Pro 2, Motorola Droid, Samsung Omnia II, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, etc.) what would you use to protect it?

I'm planning to get an "App Phone" so I'd like to know what would be the best solution and it might also prove useful for other Android Forum members as well--none of my phones have been worth protecting thus far.

Personally, I was thinking of using the combination of a Protective Film, a Hard Clip-on Case, and a Holster (generic type which will work with the clip-on case).

Also, I would like to thank you all in advance for helping me out.

I just got a Body Glove hard case for my Moto Droid and it is nice and all, but it makes putting it in and pulling it out of your pocket hard. It also makes sliding out the keyboard hard. But, I would destroy the phone if I didn't have it. I'm pretty sure I will have to take it off also when using a doc, etc.

I would advise you to make sure that your protective film is thin enough to fit into a hard case. Most hard cases were designed to fit on the phone with nothing on it and sometimes the thickness of protective film (zaa for example) are still too thick to be combined with a hard case.

Unless by protective film your talking about just the screen protector, in that case you might be fine. Just warning though wouldn't want you to buy something that won't fit together.

P.S. don't you think a protective film and a hard case is a little excessive? why not just get the hard case?

LOL that WAS like surgery... But finally I got mine to line up.. and only had to do a little snipping at the very top.. you can even tell. :) I had a cleaning cloth... and a can of air sitting next to me... making sure there was no dust in the area.... and then started the "surgery"
I did have to pull it up 2 times.. to realign... but only used the plastic sheet to touch the protector.. as to avoid fingerprints. ;)
How many attempts does it normally take to get a screen protector properly aligned on the Moto Droid? My first attempt was in vain as the protector seemed to be just a hair wider than the screen. Eventually got a speck of lint under it and had to throw it away...

I saw a youTube on how resilient the droid screen is. In fact, the guy keyed the droid several times and there was no damage. If this is the case, why do you need a screen protector. I can understand needing a case but a screen protector?
As mentioned above, finger prints / oil can interfere with the operation of the phone.

And a skin is so cheap, why not? It's cheap insurance in case something sharp enough might be able to scratch the glass.

The skin is disposable, the screen - less so.

screens are tough but the backs are not. this is where insvisibleshield and wrapsol do a really good job. especially wrapsol since it hides fingerprints. but invisibleshield is good too.
