I went to walmart and got the only 2gb pny card. P-sdu2gb-ef/bg does that sound like right model? I read some where that I want a class 2 card and I think that means 2mbps. This one says it supports 5mbps videos. If anyone has used this one, if greatly appreciate it if you can let me know. I already have to many of these. Thanks

I'm talking about for rooting. I read that the success may be dependant on the card. I've tried three of my current ones and none work. I've read that people have had success with a 2GB PNY (class 2) one from walmart. I wanted someone to verify which card it is since they may stock different versions.

Thanks, tried it, didnt work. I can't even do the sdcard in and out method with this card. it doesnt want to slide out.

Another $10 down the drain and another useless microsd.

I'm starting to think my phone was in a certain batch that this doesnt work for.

i'm pretty sure you can take it back as long as you didn't completely mangle the packaging. my walmart is pretty good about taking back returns as long as the package isn't completely destroyed...

Actually late last night I was successful with rooting.
I was unsuccessful with the first two methods.

The card was odd in that it seemed to be slightly too thick so I could not do the third method of sliding the sd card in an out because it would not slide out, I would have to use my fingernail to pull it out.

Eventually, I tried rooting to the bootloader while the card was out, then I hit recovery and plugged in the card sometime before the USB was detected by my computer and it worked. After rooting, I tried to reproduce, but whenever I tried starting holding down optical or vol down, it just goes straight to recovery mode now. is that something that is a result of rooting?

anyways, I'm happy that it finally worked.
