How to/best way to find out if my evo is having screen leakage/separation issues?

As all of you probably know by now, there are problems with some if not most of all of the Evo's screens and responsiveness and whatever. my question is, and i honestly apologize for sounding like a 'noob' but how do i check for the screen leakage and separation issues, and actually any other hardware issue that's been discussed? Thanks for all the input!! i honestly appreciate because if i do in-fact have this problem, i'm just gonna go back to t-mobile and get the samsung galaxy s in july, but i still give evo higher priority lol

Squeeze the the corner, if you're getting separation you'll be able to pinch it together and you'll see the screen move. Go to a dark room and turn on your homescreen. Look for light leakage around the edge of the screen.

I really think people are causing more problems for their phones than anything else. People are freaking out over the screen issues and squeezing and prying on the screen, which is not normal behavior or something a normal phone user does on a daily basis, to see if it moves a little bit.

IMO, if you look at your screen from the side and not notice a huge gap or noticeable difference between the glass and plastic outer rim, DON'T MESS WITH IT.

Obviously, there is a problem with a bunch of phones, but I think ppl are causing more damage by doing things like this, than anything else. If the glue is susceptible to glue failure, don't quicken the process by squeezing and prying ... please.

i think the actual reason everyone is worrying is valid. its valid because we invested a lot and signing a 2 year contract really binds you so i wanna make sure im set for 2 years and i dont wanna be chastising myself for this purchase during these 2 years because of some stupid issue i didnt bother to take care of when i had the chance.

I'm not saying the worrying is not VALID, it's the constant freaking out over every little thing about this phone. Fortunately (knock on wood), I have a little light leak, but no raised glass along the bottom. You have to remember, we have a yr warranty on this phone. All these 'issues' will be covered for a year, and hopefully HTC gets their act together and starts fixing some of these issues so we can swap out our phones for something more legit. Any swap out right now, will mostly yield you another phone with a similar issue or a new one lol.

Right now, I have the earpiece tinny/static when people talk, but everything else is great (no screen issues, battery issues, etc) ... I need to decide if that sound is enough for me to bring it in and swap it out for another phone that may have worse issues. Right now though, I'm holding onto the phone b/c it doesn't bother me THAT much ... yet.

No kidding. You know how many electronics I have owned over the years that had had some kind of light leakage? Alot and not one had ever been effected performance wise. No need to freak out about it, seriously. If your screen starts coming off then yes, go get a new one. However, there are plenty of people (like me) who have light leakage but nothing wrong at all with their screens. Big deal. I dont even notice it with my gel case on.
