So there's no way to uninstall all the garbage that came on this phone? Nascar? Really? 18 twitter apps? This is ridiculous. I thought Androids big thing was freedom. I have to look at pages of bloatware every time I want to browse for an app? I feel like I've just bought a crippled Windows computer from 2002. Nice job guys.

"Rooting it" doesn't count. If I buy a new car I shouldn't have to take apart the engine because the dealer installed a set of forks on the driver's seat.

Unacceptable.

This is my first Android phone. Came from iPhone because Android was supposed to be so open and free. Well score one for Apple here. The only apps they force on you are the basics - you know, calendar, clock, contacts...
I guess they figure if someone needs multiple twitter apps they can choose that for themselves.

I mean, in many regards this phone beats the iPhone. It's just a shame I have to sift through so much crap to get to the good stuff.

Although I agree that the ability to uninstall should be there, I don't see why this is such a huge deal for people. At least you can customize the device a hell of a lot more than an iPhone.

I'm a power user, so I'm rooted anyway and don't have the bloatware. If you don't want to root, I guess you're going to have to deal with it. Otherwise, root it and get a nice custom ROM. ;)

What does have anything to do with android? if you wanna blame someone blame sprint, oh wait, you bought yours at a subsidized price, so you can't blame sprint. seriously, is this your first phone since the iphone?

You do know that you can customize your 7 home screen any way you want right? You do not need to "Sift through so much crap" as you call it. :)

No. You are confused. With Apple, if you don't like the media player, or keyboard, or anything else you don't like that is part of Apple's "experience", you are screwed. With Evo, there are a few programs you can't remove ( without rooting ) but don't have to use!!

You don't understand the difference, don't care to try and help you. Ever.

This is a little harshly said, but true.

Agreed, but you learn to ignore it. I railed again those being on my Pre for a long time, then stopped caring since I just moved them to where I rarely ever saw them. :D
