SIMPLE Android to Mac sync program?

For the address book, you can export all of your contacts on your Mac as a vCard. Then you can just run the USB to your phone, and drag the vCard onto it. From there, go to your Contacts on the phone, press the menu, and hit "Import/Export". Import the vCard and it should work.

I realize it's not the best solution for syncing, but depending on your needs, it may help.

If you don't mind syncing via Google...

Spanning Sync does 2 way syncing from Mac to Google and back but is a 'set and forget' kind of application.

I've not had to adjust it at all since I installed it (27 March 2009 apparently lol).

Deals with iCal and Address Book nicely.

For media I use the paid version of Salling Media Sync that syncs iTunes playlists, iPhotos albums etc

What, exactly, are you looking to sync? Sync by itself could mean anything. From context, it's clear that you want contacts sync. Calendar? Notes? Tasks? Music? Media?

im confused, why would anyone need a sync program when google syncs in the cloud with Mac email, contacts and the calendar.

I'm I missing something or not understanding something here?
Local sync. Don't assume that everyone's setup/preference is identical to yours and you'll avoid such confusion.

I wasn't assuming. Which is why I asked, "I'm I missing something or not understanding something here?"

The OP, in my opinion, is not clear and the only way to find out what the OP wants/needs is to inquire.
