Grrrrr...totally my own fault but I downloaded the new Modaco 2.9 ROM earlier.

I was previously on an earlier Modaco ROM on my Orange Hero and had about 70 apps installed. Anyway I had previously done a Nandroid backup but after I had installed the 2.9 ROM I went to do another Nandroid backup instead of loading the old one  . So, after about 2 months of getting the phone just how I want it i'm back to a boggo standard phone :( :D

Grrr..the only saving grace is that the Market retains my previously downloaded apps so i dont have to search for them again. Think ill wait till I get home to download that little lot.

So word of warning, do your backup before updating your ROM ;)

Its defiantely forgot a load of them but i have a previous post with me recommending apps so Ill dig that out.

aTrackdog used to show about 96 apps but Market My Downloads is showing just 50. Ah well.

2.9 is hard to say as an improvement as I have a clean slate phone with no apps on ! Earlier indications is of no lag, its smooth and menu's appear a lot quicker. Theres also a full screen People widget which looks cool.

Im kicking myself still though for losing all of my customisation.

I'm slightly confused - each back-up doesn't replace the previous one - it will still be there, but you can only restore it if it is the most recent one in the backup folder - just remove the one you did by mistake. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding what you have done.

Ah I didnt realise that. however it appears that my last backup was in September before today. So if i deleted the last 3 backups for example that I may have done in October from E:\Nandroid then when I select Nandroid Backup from the Root then it will upload the latest one in my folder with all my apps and settings on?

If you view the nandroid backup folder from your computer you should be able to see the date each file was created. Just leave the one you want in there and move the others to another folder. Hope this is of use.
