Help Contact Pictures Revert to fb Instead of Phone

Okay, I am using the People widget to display the Favorites group on one of my panels.

I figured out how to get the picture from the phone to be the one used for the contacts, but three of them keep reverting to the facebook pictures and I can't figure out why.

I found this thread: http://androidforums.com/support-tr...ntacts-revert-facebook-pictures-how-stop.html But there is no real answer there, and while the problem is similar, it isn't exactly the same. Mine are linked.

Any ideas?

Me too . . . I haven't really read of anyone else having the same issue until now, but mine has been doing this since day one.
I have 1 contact entry that does this several times a day & there doesn't seem to be anything unique about the entry . . .
I've tried changing it to the picture from Exchange, Google, Phone, I've tried selecting a new picture & camera picture . . . it always reverts

I also dislike and cannot get the phone to use the internal contact picture instead of the facebook picture. This should just be a setting the in the contacts manger.

It is a setting, click the link button on the top right when viewing the contact, then click the pic on the top left. You get a menu that shows each pic, select one.

My problem is that some of mine go back to fb after I change them, and some stay just fine.

These are my favorites, so i don't want the pics changing and confusing me.

I was able to remedy that by simply breaking the link to facebook. As long as they are linked, FB seems to be the priority. I would maintain the link if that could be changed. I would rather use the pictures I want.

Agreed, that'll work, but then there's no link to the fb & no updates or photos . . . kinda one of the main benefits to 2.1 & Sence (IMO).

Just an updat, I now have 2 contacts that constantly revert.

I just don't understand why, when the same 30 contacts are in my phonebook, Gmail, Exchange & Facebook, why only 2 of them won't stick????????

90% of my contacts I have no trouble overriding the fb pic. Just a few that refuse to listen.

I'm considering removing them, and recreating them.

Perhaps something is setup wrong in them.

saw this on another thread:
edit the contact:
change the number to a different Type (mobile, home fax, etc). save.
change the picture. save.
return the number to the original Type. save.

No idea why this works, but it did for me.

you can remove the facebook link altogether if you want also. You will lose some data too if you do this
