Just tried it, along with Goal.com's app as it was in the featured list.
Much prefer Goal.com, but I prefer ESPN Score Center on the iPhone, it's FAR superior. On Android, it's a little laggy on my Desire, and for the most part it's just ESPN mobile web.
Is there any way to set system notifications on score changes? Like with Sportstap, it puts a notification in the system bar at the top anytime the score changes. I very much like that feature since you can see that notification with the phone locked still.

I didn't see any official endorsement from ESPN, or a mention on the developer's site that they've partnered with ESPN. So who knows? Looks like it once you install, though.

Mine is a little slow to respond as well. I think it's a combination of the ads and the ticker at the bottom. I wish there was an option to turn off that ticker.
YES! I just had to say that first. Now on to the app. It is a bit laggy on my EVO but it is their first version on Android so I'm hoping they can work out the bugs. I like ScoreMobile better, it's faster and has less clutter.
Basically. If you click on a match, it opens a special mobile version of the match details.
On the iPhone, if you click on a match, you get a nice popup with an instant overview of the match such as all the stats, and it is incredibly smooth. Then you get the option to open the same special mobile version.
I was actually thinking of the Sky Sports app when I first posted, but I've just tried the ESPN apps both side by side, and there isn't a lot of differences apart, from the match overview popup and speed. The Sky Sports app is superb, thats the app I want on Android!
As for if it's the official app or not, it is practically identical to the iPhone one, so I believe it is! Hopefully it will get faster with future releases.
I hope everyone goes into the menu's preferences and sends constructive feedback for the app. Hopefully, with a couple updates, it will be perfected. The one positive is that the scores are a lot more accurate than ScoreMobile.
Downloaded, installed, put the widget on one of my homepages, clicked on it to add teams, and now I'm getting the force close windo over and over. I click on force close and it just pops back up. Won't even let me turn my phone off. WTF?
