Root why is HTC_IME MOD lag on my smokin fast froyo Droid?

I don't get it. my phone is fast. I mean everything is fast. screen transitions, page loads, benchmark scores...everything...EXCEPT the HTC keyboard. v26 for froyo from xda. including calibration tool. I installed from SD and the apks do not show in system/apps.

Thoughts?

Oh, hell. never mind. this thing is all over place. moved app to system and now it sometimes lags and sometimes doesn't.

how do u move apps to system? is there anything u shouldnt put in your system?

Try version 27 from the xda website maybe? I am using that version with no lag...

I use Root Explorer for general file management. I like it better than Astro, personally. As far as restrictions, I don't know the answer.
