The bottom right side of the MT Slide phone makes a creaking sound like it's made of cheap plastic. Seems the g1 had the same issue. Anyone else have the same problem?

thank you plainbrad, for stating common sense.
I'm tired of people looking at this phone for flaws that aren't really flaws.
Everything thing from "dust in your screen" to "its not the fastest phone around"
Its like seriously?!?!
maybe you should go back to your old cellphones before android or iphones.
I maybe people should get screen protectors so "dust wont go in" and maybe people should wait till they can afford the fastest phone on the market.
Its a good phone and I love it!
If you want a moto droid then GO GET A DROID AND QUIT WHINING
Whoever said they wanted a Droid? I was comparing it to the Droid because they are similar machines in regards to the processor speed and construction (slider with a physical keyboard).
This is just another example of shoddy construction by HTC.
I don't really think you can compare it to a droid as far as construction is concerned.... since thats what we're talking about.
The droid is bigger than the MTS and really ugly with its square boxy format. If HTC wanted to design the MTS to be a "rock" then they would have had to make it larger to accomodate thicker plastics and more bracing.
The only thing thats shoddy is the very outer layer of plastic and I bet you if they would have made it with a satin finish instead of high gloss, people would think differently. The tactile sensation of high gloss plastics tends to make people think 'cheap'
I don't really care what you wanna compare it to.... at least you had the balls to take it back instead of keeping it and bitching about how much you don't like it.
So I took the phone I can't afford back to Tmob and told the guy there's something wrong with the phone and I would like a DROID. He tells me they don't sell DROIDs and the price would be the same as the MTS anyway. So I asked to hold the MTS once again and decided that I would swap my brand new flawed MTS for another one even though I still can't afford it. I asked him to wrap it in a plastic bag after I dropped it like 3 times on the showroom floor and now it feels a lot more sturdy. The plastic bag makes all the difference in the world This one does not creak. Wife took hers back too and her new one is fine, especially with the plastic bag wrapped around it. How about them F***ing apples. I'll try not to drop my new phone a bunch of times this go-around so the bottom right corner doesn't come loose. My wife promised not to drop hers a bunch of times too. I hope this helps people who are experiencing the same problems with the MTS.
Only because you obviously have no life and you probably just sit at home in your mom's basement on your huge dual monitor PC with world of warcraft on one monitor and android forums on your other one reading every post in every thread in between killing elfs and casting spells. Now thats what I call multi-tasking!!!
I mean come on... 600+ posts since February? Don't be an asshole
and quit picking on SPIZ, can't you see his record, he gets more thanks than he posts so he's a good guy! and he knows what he's talking about! (sometimes lol jk)
the only thing that bugs me is this, htc considers the evo problems as a minor flaw, now if you think about it does it suprise anyone to think that there going to use glossy plastic/cheaper materials? There a company and a company wants to make as much as a profit as they can and if we buy it we are to blame. I think if people showed companies that hey were only going to buy well made anything that they would only sell well made products.
I have owned a iphone 3g and a 3gs, a htc g1, mt3g .. and so on they all had there little flaws. I have a mt slide and i agree its not the best feeling phone but its not the worst either. and will i own the samung galaxy s ? Yes will it have its problems probably, but that's life enjoy what you have and pick what you buy wisely. After all we have the power to choose what a company will and wont get away with
