Can anyone give a tutorial for making VOIP calls with their evo?

I don't really use it, but I was able to do a video call between Evo (Fring) and laptop (Skype). Here is what I remember:

1) I set up 2 skype accounts so I could test call
2) On one of the skype accounts I set up the other skype account as a contact. (Since you can't put yourself as a contact on skype and I needed a test contact I I set up the second account).
3) Installed Fring from android market on Evo
4) Launched Fring and set up fring account.
5) While in fring, press evo "menu" button and hit "addons" option
6) Select the Skype (SKP) icon, Fring asks for skype account info (I gave the one with the contact set up to my other skype account)
7) Fring linked to skype and download my contacts (this took a few minutes).
8) Once Fring syncs with Skype, your skype contacts will show up on the main Fring screen on the phone.
9) On my laptop, I signed into Skype "test" account (the one showing up as a contact in Fring)
10) On fring main screen on evo, I pressed the contact name for the skype contact that was synced
11) I pressed the video icon on the fring screen and the fring video call screen pops up and "dials" my skype account on the laptop
12) on my laptop a skype pop-up will appear asking me if I want to answer, decline or chat. Press "answer" and video call begins.

I am new to skype so someone may have a more streamlined approach (i.e. already uses skype and has contacts to use for test calls). The call from Evo to PC was free.

Thanks Gary Coleman and may you RIP.... I was looking more at like free outbound calls from the cell using VOIP via 3/4g or Wifi using programs like sipdroip or SIP on Fring. I know it exists just not how to set it up.
