Help Hard reset fixed my problem but what caused it?

For the last day or so I have noticed that I my battery has been draining at about 10-20% per hour. I have had the EVO since launch day and although battery life hasn't been the greatest, it has never been this bad. I checked spare parts and system panel and could not find the app/process which was causing this. Then I noticed that my 3G connection appeared to be in constant use so I checked my network usage. Spare parts actually showed that my awake time was about 70% and something called "0" was constantly using the network. Everytime I would click on this process, I would get a force close. I did a hard reset and now the process is gone and everything seems to be back to normal. I re-installed most of my apps minus ATK because I did not notice any great improvement in battery life or performance while using it.

Thinking back on it, could it have been possible that ATK killed the app that was using the network but never killed the process that it used to connect to the network?

Exactly, and how long before it starts doing it again?

I have the "0" thing too, and everytime I click on this process, I would get a force close too. I am unplugged for 16 hr starting last night at 8PM, I only charged it to 93% when I unplugged it though. Is it bad to not fully charge it? I've only had the EVO for my second day...
I was on wifi and used it for web browsing, some app download for around 2 hrs last nite then I turn off the mobile network while I slept for the next 8 hrs. Then I used it this morning for playing music and some game playing during my one hour commute. Checked e-mail at work for a few times, a few sms, a few web page browsing during work... I'm at 18% now. I'm ok with this battery life, since I am not a heavy user, and I have been keep turning the screen on just to flip through the home screen for nothing alot :D (i'm still excited at it.)

But is the "0" thing normal? I would be happy if it is something that I could fix and push my battery life further.

Weird. I have the "0" thing, too, but I am on day 2 (1day 16 hours) on the same battery charge -- with VERY light use, but still.... I was just assuming that "0" thing was normal. Anyone know what it is?

Ok so I got the "0" process back and my battery is at 72% after unplugging at 5:30am with moderate usage. That couldn't have been what was causing my battery drain but I know that it was caused by something constantly accessing my 3G. I am still leaning towards ATK as the culprit though...
