Music Player Help/Rant

So here's my problem. I am rooted and every once in awhile I need to totally wipe and install a new ROM to keep up-to-date on the latest technology.

My music is organized on my computer by genre folder. Rock music in the "rock" folder..ehh you get my point. Pretty much all of my music has no "file" organization. I just have the name of the song and the artist under title and name. It bugs me so much that no music player will allow me to just drag and drop folders and play music from those folders. If I want a playlist on my phone I have to go through my 700+ songs and individually put them in their respective folders.....AND each time I flash a new ROM I have to go through this BS.

Any advice or people that have the same issue?

I attached an example of what one of my folders looks like (note how the genre of each song is different).

Just make sure you label everything correctly in the id3. I just do it really quickly in iTunes, like highlight all my Christian music and type "Christian" in the genre and so on and so forth. At least you'll be able to quickly organize yourself through Genres.

Do you know if there's any way I can do it that quickly without is itunes?

I used MP3 tag. I used it to add all the album art to my phone. Took two hours to go through 600 songs individually, but I pulled through.

Fortunately for you, it should be a lot easier. All you need to do is select the songs in a certain genre, select a genre, and save the tags. It also directly edits the MP3 file, so its not like some of the BS in iTunes when it doesn't add the tags to the file.
