Not really. With the over clock also come under clock so you can set better thresholds for when you get the boost.

So while gaming or doing intense tasks might drain faster every day use can see benefits.


Regardless after rooting and removing the bloat the battery goes a long way. Flashing a custom rom is also a huge improvement.

I don't see how you could know what I want my phone to do, but there are tons of people that like fiddling with things like this. They find it fun. This forum is full of them too, take a look around and you'll get it.

Some people just like to tweak stuff and see what kind of performance they can get out of it. It is like the person that mods their Mustang until it has 700hp, but how often are you actually going to use that? It is just fun for some.

Also, these guys over at XDA are responsible for a lot of great things for this phone already and doing stuff like this only expands the capabilities of developers and in turn what you get to do with the phone.
