Hi guys, My friend own a samsung galaxy s(available in Singapore) and i lent it to use.I find it having some lagging issue. Example when clicking application tab and back to home it isnt smooth at all and when i open AMPED(A Singtel application) the phone hang for like 15second and said the application is not responding. Samsung galaxy s should be a better phone compared to hd2 however my friend own a htc hd2 he doesnt have any lagging issue. Any idea why?

I have a Galaxy S here in England just got it today but its a sim free version theres no operator branding on the phone at all and theres no lag.

It could be the operator firmware slowing the phone down?

I think its the operator firmware thats slowing it down, the demo units from our local telco here also have slowdowns. I'll confirm this when I get the unit.. they said that June 24th is the release date.

Thanks for the quick response. I am seriously considering getting this phone early next week, so just wanting to make to make sure.

I'll definitely be interested in your thoughts, both for myself and my missus, who is weighing up her options regarding a new contract/upgrade. She likes the Desire but like myself is tempted by the Samsung - as am I!

Wtf? This is really confusing, I mean, in 99% of the videos it looks super-fast, some users say it's actually faster than Desire, still, there are those who say it's laggy...

I agree...I really want to get this phone, but when you hear things like this it puts me right off. One thing with the Desire from my own experience is it does not lag at all.

I have a phone on Optus (Australia) and I am having issues with the phone lagging when opening apps, and even when unlocking the phone. It takes the phone a few seconds to even register my unlocking code, or when opening an ebook, it takes about 2 minutes to load the book, and a few seconds to register a page change. Does anyone have any suggestions, stopping short of complete reset.

Given the fact that I may have to reset the phone, is there any way I can save the apps and stuff to the memory card so I can retireve them later?

On a side note, It only started lagging about 2 days ago, and it isnt even that full of apps and stuff.
