Anyone got any info in regards to the retail package contents of the Galaxy S, does it come with 2 batteries with a dedicated charging dock and probably a phone case ?

why would you think it would have 2 batteries and a charging dock included? that is not typical of any smartphone and I've never heard of such a thing. Have you heard this about this phone? Please tell

My family has used several samsung phones from the past, altho none of them are really smart phones they always do come with 2 batteries and a dedicated charger dock.

It's cool that you've had that experience in the past, but I've owned (and currently own) several Samsung phones and they've only ever come with the standard charger and single battery.

Are you sure your family hasn't been buying some special package deal that bundles an extra battery and charger dock for an additional price?

Nope, its all in the retail package and is also written on the manual. The last samsung phone we had was the dual sim touch screen ( resistive ) D980. Maybe its an Asia specific package or something. 2 older samsung phones we had also came with 2 batteries and a charger dock , cant recall the model numbers anymore.

My Mom's D980 too has 2 battery and a dock.
But the dock is not a phone dock -- it's a battery dock.
It's a regional thing. The phone, i believe was imported from Singapore.

A friend of mine who bought his unit(s) from Singtel had a small stand included on his retail package.. its something to keep the phone in a standin ( tilt position )

one of the things I loved about the Instinct was the extra battery and battery charging dock, I wish Samsung would bring that back to their phones!

Yeah the older highend samsung phones always had a extra battery and a charging dock.

In HK, there are 2 batteries, Power adapter (USB), USB cable, 2 DVD, Manual.

Most shops (not the Telco) will offer free cheap screen protector too.

There was one unboxing video on youtube where there were two batteries and a desktop charger in the box. It was from Korea or some other East Asian country.

AFAIK a standard international Galaxy S retail pack contains one battery, data cable, charger , earphones with inline microphone, 2 mini DVDs, user manuals with few Samsung product and accessory brochures .
