Samsung Galaxy S Pro specs begin to emerge | Android Central

I'm officially sold.

"Samsung Galaxy S Pro hardware:

Size: *It's a tad shorter (about a half-inch) and more narrow (about three-eights of an inch)*than the Sprint Evo 4G, but it's thick. Not surprising, given the slide- out keyboard.

Keyboard: *Slider mechanism is very smooth and clicks in place when closed. The keys are raised, made of soft plastic. They're pretty firm when pressed.

Body:* Our tipster wasn't impressed by the plastic feel, though it could just be a prototype thing

Processor:* Samsung/Intrinsity ARM*Cortex A8 @ 1GHz

Screen:* "Gorgeous," which is about what we hear anybody say when they're first exposed to Super AMO Blacks are very dark, "almost look wet." Font edges lo tad fuzzy, like on the Nexus One. But when viewing wh text on a black background, they're very easy to read. resolution appears to be 480x800. The screen size is noticeably smaller than the Evo 4G, but bigger than th Nexus One. So it may well be the same 4-inch screen that's on the Galaxy S. Very responsive, only needed a light touch. "Never used anything so fluid." Feels a little plasticy.

Memory: *512MB*of RAM. There was 8.2 gigabytes of ROM, which possibly could be re-allocated to phone storage/internal storage, much like the Verizon Droid Incredible. But that's speculation on our part

WiFi: *802.11 b/g/n.

Cameras: *5MP rear-facing camera with 1x optical zoom, 720p recording. Front-facing camera is VGA.

Other radios: *EVDO*Rev. A./Wimax. Additional SIM*card slot points to possible World phone."

Key features that I hoped for in my next phone are all (or mostly) included in this phone:

- 4 inch screen
- Super AMOLED
- 1ghz Hummingbird Processor
- Physical Keyboard
- 4G (Can't wait to use it)
- Beautiful Camera quality (with a flash)
- TV output

There are a couple more things but these are the big ones. I can't think of anything major I would change (Maybe if I thought real hard ;)).

I agree completely. I just really hope that they make it thinner than the current Moment. I don't really see how they couldn't, but we'll see. I was planning on getting the S pro as soon as it first leaked, but when more pictures popped up and it was discovered it was 4G I about shat myself.

Doesn't matter how it "feels". That's just perception.

Solid build quality is what I'm after.

You can knock Samsung for a lot of things but build quality is not one of them. TV's, Phones, laptops, ect, all have great build qualities. Loyalty, software, ect maybe you can bash them but not quality of the hardware!

Just my experience anyway!

Do you feel that the Moment is not thin enough? The iPhone is .48" thick, and the Moment is .65" thick, and it has a hardware keyboard that the iPhone doesnt. I have the moment, and even with a hard plastic case on it, it's not too thick. I think people are too obsessed with thickness.

I actually like the thinness/thickness of the Moment because its makes it easier to use my thumb to navigate it whilest holding the phone with one hand. My iphone is a little more difficult because its so thin and my thumb has to reach farther down to navigate. Also, this iphone is really hard to grip due to its slippery surface and thinness. Hopefully the case I ordered for it helps with the gripping though.

I guess its all about preference :)

No, I don't think the Moment is too thick, but since I will be putting a case on the S Pro I'd prefer a little thinner. If it is the same then I'll still like it, but I'm hoping it's just a tad thinner.

MotoDroid is .5" thick with a physical keyboard.
