Yes, I want to see what this " Iphooney" thing... has against our Beautiful EVO.
I have all these iphone friends telling me how great it is and is the best thing that ever happen in mobile world.

I know I could name a few things that our Evo has vs. the new iphone coming out.

1. Flash player
2. Video confference only on wifi, plus I heard it has .3 mega pixel on front? don't know for sure?
3. 8 mega-pixel camera vs. 5
4. Larger screen.
5.They adveritised true "multitasking" Really"
6. SDcard swap for Evo, New phone for iphone 8,16,32G
7. Customizable at your pleasure, Not jail break like the iphone.

And of course had my neighbor look at it, he has an iphone and says WOW it is like an iphone? I SAID HELL NO!!! IT'S BETTER!!!
Then I put on ESPN "Redsox vs Dodgers" open kickstand and left him speechless as we enjoyed the game on the deck...GO RED SOX's!!!

Obviously I'm from the Boston area...

I'm keeping my mouth shut until they get it so I can shut them up!!!

agreed. Sprint TV over 4G is worlds better then Sprint TV over 3G. Kinda of like the difference between watching TV (on a TV) and watching TV online on a crappy stream. Much more flowing and pixelation free.

1. Still not proven, check out the videos, still laggy, still doesn't work for all sites.
2. It's VGA, that's all we know for now. "Facetime" which is an Apple only video conferencing is wifi only for now, until AT&T can beef up there network later this year. It's 100% sure that other companies will release video conferencing app that will run over AT&T 3G/LTE.
3. Everybody knows more megapixel doesn't mean anything. I have a 7.1MP Canon SD1000 and it blows away my Evo 8MP. If you look at the pictures taken with the iPhone 4 vs. Evo 4G, iPhone 4 takes better pictures and shoots better HD video.
4. Agrees.
5. They both do multiasking differently. I prefer the iPhone 4 way because I control what runs in the background, while Android throws everything in the background for me (and in most cases) won't close them out.
6. Subjective. Personal preference.
7. Agrees.

Please, stop the fanboyism. Evo isn't the be all end phone, it has it's problems too. Let's not even get into the horrible 8MP camera HTC equipped.

no offense, but you really don't know much about camera and image quality and all that if you post something like this.

quick explanation: megapixels matter very very very little. the quality of the image sensor is everything, and quite honestly, i enjoy my Evo a lot, but the camera is lousy and the iPhone 4 has a much much much superior sensor - and therefore images AND VIDEO will be much better. if you need proof, have someone record the same thing with both phones, and not tell you which is which. i would bet large sums of money that you would almost always pick the iPhone as the superior device just based on "what you see".

Per your post, it really sounds like you need to stop. I own the iphone, and the EVO blows away my 3Gs.

i also think it is and will be better....because the 3gs one is practically better. the video is much smoother.

obv i don't know and am speculating but i will HAPPILY wager large sums of money in advance that it IS better. and can test to confirm once released by showing the same shots from both cameras in a random poll.

you are right there is nothing yet. but the Evos camera is so dismal that the iPhone 4 won't be worse. there a LOT of room for it to be better too. also as i posted a second before, the 3gs video is already smoother than the EVO.

Please post the evidence of this. Be sure you are comparing likes to likes as far as resolution.

The iPhone is all well and good, but I truly believe the Evo is still better.

The thing I hate is how Apple markets all their products like they are the second coming. The iPhone was revolutionary. Now? No, not even close.

I have already with 3gs and EVO was much better quality in picture as well in video...this is why I said bring on the iphone4.

I also had a samsung moment before the Evo with 3.2mega pixal and it also smoked the 3gs...

What a whip. We all get it. The iPhone 4 is coming out and the Evo draws obvious comparisons to it. You know that laundry list of differences you posted? We've all read it before. Numerous times. Go bump one of the other 846 threads about the two and post it in there. This sub-forum is getting so damned immature with this whole "my phone is better than an iPhone" talk. I have always loathed the typical iPhone user because it seemed as though their life's mission was to prove that they had the most superior phone at the lunch table. Then, Eric-VTX, among others, comes along and slaps me in the face with the reality that I have now associated myself with a group of people with a similar level of immaturity.

Take an objective approach. Give the iPhone credit where credit is due and acknowledge some of the shortcomings of the Evo and then you might have a little credibility. Then again, perhaps you feel better suited in the blind iPhone hatred/excessive Evo ball-gargling role.
