Talked with Customer Loyalty at T-mobile about the issue regarding the Behold II not being updated to Android 2.x as promised. The best offer I have received so far is the MyTouch 3G for $154. No upgrade fee, no shipping fee. What does everyone think? Take it and try it for the 14 day buyer remorse period or hold out for a better deal? They said the Mytouch 3G Slide has been taken off their upgrade list for the time being...?

i know if you complain enough you can get what ever you want. A friend at work went through 3 different phones within 3 months. First he got the MT3G v1.0 then the 1.2 came out so he complained and got that one. A month or so later the HD2 came out and complained again and got that. Each phone was at a discount and no extensions on the contracts.

I wish i had that option again. I am no longer in a contract. :)

The argument i had with him was you bleeping bleep. He was a bit pissed that i rooted the phone and it was still faster then his v1.2.

I dont know how long he talked with Tmo about it but he did get it. So now he has a g1, two mytouches and now a HD2. Told him to sell me the v1.2 but he wants like 200 bucks. LOL

I may start arguing with Tmo on fathers day to get some free phones. All i know is im not too happy i am unable to upgrade with discounts, and yes i know they have payment plans and its overall cheaper with out a contract, maybe it physiological about seeing a cheaper price.

I lost two hours of sleep out of the 5 that work gives me and it did not work. I would have to cancel my wifes contract or non contract and then sign up to get the free ones. I am in the same boat as you and we are just screwed. The no contract is much cheaper then the contracted price. Does sound lame that they dont want you locked in. O well. Im sure something better will be coming out in a year when my wife is off the non-contract/contract.

Because you'd still end up paying more if you took the phone with a 2-year contract. Assuming the contract is $20/month more than the non-contract plan, you're paying $480 more after 2 years.
