Help Vibrate options

Is there any way to change the vibrate options. All I can find is either on or off. I'd like to have to phone vibrate constantly when I have an incoming call but not at all when I get a message or email. Is there a vibrate options section I'm missing?

Using the stock options, unfortunately, it's either on or off. But there are different applications that allow you to do this. Example is "Handcent" would allow u to customize for SMS/MMS, or "SMS Popup" would give you options.

Use a combo of both ideas mentioned above. Missed Call app for call vibe and a 3rd party messaging app for texts. I go a step further and use K9 for email so I can customize tones for multiple accounts. With Android you have to utilize apps when the onboard options don't cover the bases adequately. Takes awhile to get used to this method of control especially to those coming from Blackberry since the notification options are more integrated.

You will find a need to disable various options in the native apps when replacing them with 3rd party apps in order to reduce conflicts and multiple notifications for the same thing. It can be a bit of a balancing act at first but makes good sense after getting used to the system.

Finally, its worth noting that most 3rd party apps allow better vibe options in terms of the duration/pattern of the vibe. The two short vibes don't cut it for me.

Does missed call work for you guys? There are a lot of bad reviews on appbrain. Do you know of any other apps that allow you to change the vibrate options?
Never had a problem with Missed Call. Most 3rd party apps that are different sms, mms phone call and email apps, will allow the customization. THere's tons. But the one's mentioned here are the ones I use.

There's also a "Vibrator" app. Look into that if you want.

Most are free so no harm in trying them yourself to see if they fit your needs.
