It may not hold a candle to the PS3 or Xbox 360, but it is definitely more powerful than the PS2.

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely very good for a portable system. Definitely much better than current DSes.

I understand the Resident Evil one. I don't understand the Kingdom Hearts and Metal Gear Solid ones. The PS2 version looks better than the ones in the 3DS.

That's interesting that you say that.

The 3DS version of Metal Gear Solid 3 has more advanced lighting, custom shaders and higher polygon counts in the character models.

Not really.

FutureMark made a demo for the 3DS to show off the hardware.

As you can see, this is more comperable to the original Xbox, not the PS2.

I haven't owned any portable system since the gameboy color came out, which I only had for about a month before I let a cousin borrow and never saw again...

The 3DS actually makes me want to get a portable all over again! Never really was into Sony products.

I just love Gran Turismo TBH it made me buy a PS1, PS2, PS3 & PSP GO, not all at once

Although strangely they we all a similar price at the time of purchase......

I agree the 3DS looks amazing lets just hope its not another wii, at least they've stuck to a tried and tested input mechanism which means game ports from other devices/platforms should be easier.

The thing about the resident evil graphics were that Resi 4 had the same graphics all the way through, they didnt make any new ones for movies or anything, which made it special. Resi 5 im sure they had special movie graphics

Res 5 had scenes acted out by the voice actors and videotaped so the game designers know how it would look.

it looks really good graphics, but still not sure it will perform because the Resident Evil images look like somethin the PS3 can perform.
but if they are real then wicked.

This is one handheld I'm looking forward too, I'm rather amazed with what they have done with 3DS, it is a big jump from DS. Seeing how much time and hours I have behind games like Zelda, Final Fantasy, Harvest Moon and not to forget Trauma Central. I'm really looking forward to see what 3DS can do with those serieses and other games!

I'm not surprised too much, mobile devices have really stepped up in power recently. The cpu is faster, and the gpu looks like it can handle more than what the emotions engine could.

Hell from these images the 3ds looks amazing. I wasn't aware that the graphics were this much better. I can't wait to get hold of one of these, looks like time to upgrade my original ds from launch day .
