HTC Droid Eris moves extremely slow!

At first I thought it was because of the Handcent SMS App but I removed it and it does the same. Text message app opens slowly, delayed vibrations on touch, goes to home screen slowly. How can I fix this?

Two things, 1. Post something about how full your browser cache is and other apps with storage capacities. 2. This thread belongs in the Eris forums, not the Verizon forums.

I agree, it is really slow. It's def. not my browser cache. I haven't installed anything or browsed any pages. Just opening different apps it came with it a wait. Much slower than my 'mytouch 3G' was.

Wow. Mine does the EXACT same thing. I don't even have that many apps installed, so I un-installed a bunch, and it still runs slow. The slowness mainly is when I access my text messages. I try to delete my text messages but my phone will just say it is loading, and nothing ever gets deleted. Does any one know how long it normally takes to delete messages as well?

It only takes a long time to delete messages when you have A LOT of messages and it can take A LONG TIME. Just sit back and let it do its thing for about an hour. You guys will find much more answers in the Eris Forum.

It only takes a long time to delete messages when you have A LOT of messages and it can take A LONG TIME. Just sit back and let it do its thing for about an hour. You guys will find much more answers in the Eris Forum.

I once let my texts build up for 6 months. I had like 10K texts on my phone. I couldn't delete them because the native delete kept timing out. I installed Super SMS Quick Delete for Android from the market and it worked like a charm. My phone ran much much better after that. I also cleared caches and removed other random unused garbage. Then I uninstalled the app beacuse I delete threads regularly now.
