OK guys, what mischief would you cause?

Either ignore it, ask who it is, or tell them they have a wrong number. No point messing with someone who now has your phone number, they can make your life miserable by constantly calling or posting it up in random places, or putting it in ads on Craigslist, or whatever. Not worth the possible future suck for a few minutes of fun.

Hrmmmmmmmmm!

This might be rather fun!

First things first, you have no idea who this person is, right?

If not, you should respond back and say that you are on your way to whomever it is. This way they'll be waiting there forever and when they eventually decide to leave via taxi - they will be soooooooo pissed off at the person who was SUPPOSED to actually get them

...and they will immidately text or call that person to scream at them, and that will be YOUR phone ringing. Uh, win? Too much blowback in this scenario.

Yeah, they have as much of an idea of who you are as you do of who they are (except that you seem to have each others' mobile numbers.)

I got that page last night. I said "I'm sorry, but who are you?" I was actually worried that I might have lead someone into thinking I'd come get them. They told me it was a wrong number and that they were visiting someone here in DC.

I thought I saved someone from getting in big trouble by telling them almost immediately that I wasn't whoever they were looking for but alas I noticed a text on my phone this morning that was received sometime around 9pm that said "I am still at the airport, where are you?" The mischevious side of me would have said "I think we should see other people." but I just felt badly for the person stuck at National Airport that late. -_-

I did have a text that was similar. It was someone that texted "I'm here already" even though I didn't see anyone at my house. I just ignored it, but unfortunately that person dialed my number a couple of times a couple of weeks later. If I had the guts I'd call them back from a blocked number pretending to be a radio or TV station saying they've won something.
