I've searched for it and it doesnt show up in the market for me. I'm running the latest Froyo, but someone at work with a droid on 2.1 finds it right away...wth?
I was all psyched for this, until I realized you have to have the latest Slingbox. It says if you have an older Slingbox you will have limited functionality? WTF does that mean, I can only get channels 1-32, 50 -65...
I have a Slingbox AV and it does work but I am getting a lag between audio and video. Has anyone else had this issue? I am wondering if the problem is I am using the older AV model and I wonder if I got a solo if it would work better?
Does anyone have the SingBox HD? Can you get HD quality over 3G? My SD content looks pretty good.
From what I hear, it'd lag worse with an HD broadcast, and the difference wouldn't be noticable due to the small screen. Now, if you were using the HDMI-out jack to watch it on a big TV then you'd want to be on a 4G / WiFi network and broadcasting HD.
So I bought it today...still trying to get to someone in sling to see if I can transfer to windows mobile key to android...I played with the app for about 2 hours....even on wifi the picture isn't as good as I anticipated...but definately better than nothing and if it still costs me 30 bux...so be it!

I'm using TestTube to watch my Hava and have the same lag between video and audio. The dev says it is the way Android handles media and he would have to patch the OS for it to sync. It sounds like the sling player is having the same problems. I think you just saved me $200!!!
Can you hook up the Slingbox directly to your cable or must it go through a cable box? I guess if it doesn't have a tuner you could always hook it up to an old VCR or something?

The solo doesn't have any kinf of tuner, you would have to hook it to a cable box, vcr, etc. The Pro-HD "Includes built-in analog and HD digital Clear QAM cable tuner and ATSC antenna tuner" in addition to hooking up to any other kind of tuner. Well, the HD is $260, so will have to take the plunge on that one
I was hoping that the VULKANO be out there, but the website for monsoon multimedia originally stated that it would be ready for April, then May, and now it says summer 2010

You can pick up a Hava Platinum, new, at Amazon for $130, add TestTube from the market for $3 and you have a nice setup. I wouldn't wait on monsoon to deliver anything in a reasonable time. We've been waiting for over a year for fixes to the windows mobile client and almost that long for the android client they announced.
I have a Hava, GOLD though, I downloaded the TestTube application, but no dice, it doesn't work with my Droid, it only tells me that the Video Cannot be played

Take a look at the testtube group in google groups. It has a lot of information on configuration. I've been running it on my droid since the first day it came out. I have the platinum. There is a download on the myhava.com site to update the gold to work with the newest pc app, maybe that would help too. I get the Video cannot be played once in a while, I just start it again and it works. Good luck!
I have seen people state in other forums and news stories that it works, but with limited functionality. I have not seen them explain exactly what the "limited functionality" is though...You can just try it, you have 24 hours to return and get your money back
I have SlingBox Classic and it worked beautifully yesterday. I streamed a couple of movies while working. Today, I am getting "connection failed" errors about 90 seconds in. The first 90 seconds are great. Not sure what the problem is. I haven't changed anything. hope this isn't the "not supported" they are talking about. Anyone else having connection failed errors?
