Grooveshark 2.0

I think an announcement has already been made in the Android Applications forum, but I know several users in here were having issues with their Grooveshark app so I figured I'd post it here. Grooveshark has released the 2.0 version of their app, and it's pretty awesome. So, if you were having issues before, hopefully this version will fix your problems.

I was having all kinds of issues before the 2.0 version was released. I installed the new version and it worked like a champ.

I love Grooveshark 2.0!!! I cant imagine not having it on my phone now. It is much easier to navigate, it rarely crashes, and the shuffle feature makes it a complete app now IMHO.

I put on 3 rubber gloves just to post after this guy. $30 a year on hookers? Since he said HookerS, I assume he frequents cheap hookers and thus I just ran my antivirus.

I have to wonder what Grooveshark offers that the free downloads, Meridian, and double twist combined do not for free.

Grooveshark operates in a gray area of the law and therefore can provide you access to streamed music that was uploaded by other people.

It is NOT pirating or considered P2P as you are not able to download or duplicate the music, it simply becomes a streaming music service. They also claim to pay royalties to record companies and honor and Cease & Desist letters they receive from record labels wishing to take their music down.

Not much different than going to Youtube to listen to music, but without the video and a neat Itunes-like interface.

Check out their website and take a look, it's a neat idea that has left a lot of lawyers stumped and a lot of users happy

Anyone have luck with their offline saving? There interface may look pretty, but I can't find anything about offline playback of songs aside from the settings cache limit and the "Make offline" button which never seems to work.

I am one of Android developers for Grooveshark, and it works fine on all the phones we have here so let me try to solve this problem for you by getting some more info.

What phone and version of android are you running?

What happens when you click make available offline from a song info page?

What happens if you go to favorites and long click a song then select make available offline?

Are there any songs in your offline songs page after this?

If the app crashes, android gives you the option to report it, that makes it much easier for us to fix these sort of issues. You can also email me at collin.vance@escapemg.com since I don't check this forum regularly.

Haha just noticed this was a HTC Incredible forum. So I assume you are using an Incredible running 2.1, correct?
