Droid X's Talk Time vs. iPhone 4's Talk Time

So the Droid X's talk time is stated to be 8 hours, while the iPhone 4's talk time is stated to be 7 hours. Does that mean the Droid X's battery will last as long as the iPhone's? I'm not exactly sure how battery length works.

Motorola said that the X will get comparable battery life to the original Droid, which got through a day's worth of usage just fine (and more if you only used it lightly).

I wouldn't worry about the battery life too much.

And if you need more, there's a 1900mAh battery coming out later that will only add 1mm to the thickness.

I saw that the thickness is 9.9mm at the thinnest, but what is it at the top of the phone? I haven't seen that on any of the sites...

Oh wow that's awesome. Well if I find the battery life a little disappointing, the 1900mAh battery will really help.

No way, the iphone is 9.3mm thick and it's like the thinnest phone ever, how could motorola make a phone that's half that thick at the thin part (from pictures it sure looks like the thin bottom part is ~half the thick hump at the top)

From hands-on reports, they have been saying that it feels solid and praise its industrial design. They're not saying anything that it looks/feels plasticky.

That's lovely then. I recall reading reviews on the Incredible praising it for it's speed and what not but also hating it for the plastic feel to it.

First — as this is most likely the thing everyone is wondering about — is the size. The DROID X does not feel like a phone with a 4.3-inch screen, and that isn’t a bad thing. Is the screen massive? Yes. Gorgeous? Yes. Too big to pocket? No. The phone has a great weight, completely solid feel, and great industrial design. You feel like you are holding a top-notch high-end phone.

My iphone 4 preorder arrived today...tomorrow a guy is picking it up for $800. $250 in my pocket once I cancel my ATT contract, take out the price of the phone.

That'll be just enough to cover my new Droid X, woot

I guess it's like a bit of an Ebay thing but in person. I'm sure on Ebay they will go for higher, but I'm assuming Ebay will stop them.

Exactly, off contract it's $600 or $700 + waiting in line since i don't think they did pre-orders on off contract phones. Plus, if you're waiting in line you might not even get one if the store you're at runs out.

Friend of mine got his yesterday and I messed around with it today. I think it feels like it was made nicely, but for some reason I hate the feel of it in my hands. I feel like the edges are sharp on that bad boy, maybe I am use to the regular iphones? Nice phone, but not what I want.
