Default Improved viewing angle

This actually works! The viewing angle can be improved significantly on the gTablet pretty easily. I did this by simply applying a Skinomi screen protector. (Similar material to the BestSkinsEver protectors, but BSE doesn't make a gTab one yet.) I got mine with the carbon fiber skin, which is textured and cool. But the screen protector prevents the color inversion that I saw maybe 30-40 gegrees below vertical in landscape mode. The screen is generally brighter/clearer over a wider range of angles with the screen protector on. I had read this a few places, and it really works, makes the gTab much easier to use.

Another minor tip for more brightness is to flip the tablet upside down (in landscape mode). For apps that auto-rotate, the brightness is better when viewing the screen upside down.

I noticed the same thing with my G-Tablet and Skinomi screen protector. Plus, the Skinomi does't show up fingerprints NEARLY as bad as the bare screen, so it's worth the money just for that.

I'm waiting on delivery....the wifes a little pissed that I chose the cheesy wood grain. I can't wait till some iDbag goes on about how his iPad2 is "magical" (copyright Apple Marketing) to which my reply will be that my gTab is made of wood and is powered by tiny hamsters running in tiny wheels.

I found my skinomi made the touch screen "numb".It was so difficult to use that i removed it....on my droid x a screensaver has no effects on the sensitivity, the skinomi is very thick, and it wasnt cheap, what a waste of money....I need a screensaver still, not sure what to do,but typing was impossbile with the skinomi...

The Skinomi did improve the screen. viewing angle angle and glare reduction improved and finger prints were not as noticeable.

Though i agree it effected the effectiveness of the touch screen. Unless the screen protector and my hands are perfectly clean its not as sensitive. I am considering removing it as a result.

I also tried a Lexerd screen protector which was also a huge waste of money. Since is a dry install screen protector it was impossible to install. I ended up so frustrated installing it that I crumpled it up and threw it out. Reviews of the Lexerd screen protector on amazon show experiences similar to mine.

i wish there was a good, cheap solution out there.

Im still running a naked screen. I need to do something, just not sure what to run.Im kind of regretting buying the gtab, there isnt much out there for it,no nice cases,no otterbox, just a keyboard case, which im not interested in.I have the full skinomi, but id like more protection ,and a screensaver that doesnt inhibit the function of the touch screen....I am thinking about selling the tablet, and picking up the successor to the xoom...I love the tablet, but too many drawbacks to the gtabs screen,IMO.

Do your homework.

There are several good cases for the G-Tablet. I have The Clip from www.electroniccrap.com, and it's great.

As for Otterboxes, they will produce a case for the G-Tab if there is enough interest in it. Go to their website and suggest it. Lots of people from the XDA forums have already done that.

I'm not sure what you mean about the screen protector making your screen numb. I didn't notice any difference in the screen's sensitivity. Maybe you put it on wrong.

The screen protector from a zoooooom will work on the gtab. It's a close fit but with care it works. Can't say it improves the viewing angle, but it does protect the screen as designed.
