Default message not sent - how to delete

I tried sending an email addressed to over 30 people. For days, I get "1 message not sent". I sent the message from my computer since it wouldn't go through on my phone. When I try to delete the message from the outbox, it says, "Cannot open message. Message is currently being sent and is unable to be opened." How do I get rid of it? Clearly, the message is not being sent and I want it deleted from my phone so I don't the "message not send" message. Thank you.
