I am in the UK and wondered if there are any suggestions for protective cases for the hero?

I have one of the cheap gel cases which is a loose fit. I bought one of the hard cases but it arrived cracked.

Any help appreciated.

Anyone using a hard case to protect the screen?

WARNING... I just bought a new protective leather sleeve on eBay and after 3 days of intermittent use this case rubbed the paint right off my new HTC Hero. I mean all the edges front and back are now paint-less and black. Either there was a chemical reaction or the inner surface of the case (which feels soft to the touch) abraited the paint off.

I will leave the eBay item number here and would strongly recommend avoiding this item (eBay item # 360170753130).

My poor baby looks like she aged 2 years overnight....

I bought the Otterbox commuter case. It comes with a screen protector, silicone cover, and also a hard case. I have not had any problems with it at all. Amazon has it for $22 I believe.
