Hi,

Am on 3UK contract in London. Pre-root my Hero would roam locally onto the 2G Orange network automatically as a way of broadening 3's network coverage. This is local roaming and there was no extra charge for this and the phone would do this by itself in areas of poor reception.

Now post-root it seems to be 3 network or nothing (assuming that the icons in Elelinux 2.2 are all accurate). So I think in areas i previously where had a little reception, now there is no signal. And yes, data roaming is turned on in settings and out of country roaming seems to work fine. It's the local roaming that is missing.

any ideas?
