I installed Elelinux as posts had suggested that it was the best 2.2 rom. However, I installed it today and found that the little icons at the bottom which would lead to the dialler and menu would randomly disappear, needing a reboot to resolve. This happened twice within an hour.

I've now flashed Froydvillain instead. I have to say that I preferred the look and feel of Elelinux (and Elelinux definitely seemed a little quicker), but I don't want the hassle of having to regularly reboot my phone.

Has anybody had this issue with Elelinux?

You hadn't just "swiped down" on the screen when this happened, had you? By default I think this opens the ADW dockbar in some versions, which thus hides the main button bar. If you reinstall check ADW settings/General behaviour for the Swipe down/Swipe up actions.

I'm honestly not sure. But thanks for responding.

I'll see how Froyd works for a few days and if I get any problems I'll give Elelinux another go.
