I just got done following all three videos (well one was a two-parter) and I am golden!
Only critique is that there's a point where you download the Tools (GET THE TOOLS). Well once it's downloaded you have to unzip it and put that tools folder in the root. This wasn't mentioned in the video.
Other than that, awesome!
I just need a bugless beast rom install video and I'm set!!

Where are the links at?
And if I do this and say I need to warranty my phone out, do I need to do like a "re-locker" or what?
Thanks!

I think that the live wallpapers are included in the droid updater (DMUpdater)...
Also, VtotheZ -- thanks soooooo much for the kikkbutt videos. I'd already done the shortcut Sholes mod, but really wanted to learn how to do it for myself. Your videos are perfect!
Do you do requests? If so, I'd like to see you do the Sholes mod (now DMUpdater), then switch to Adam's Smoked Glass, then back again... I'm curious which steps are needed, or not needed, because of the DMUpdater app, and what needs to be deleted or added when switching or trying other ROMS.
Thanks again!!

You know whats weird I went and did the whole DMupdater last night, and I didnt like the fact that you have to be on a stock 2.0.1 rom in order to load the ROM. Since I was running Smoked v4.5 it wouldn't go forward without me having to go back to stock. I was kinda pissed....

I just got done following all the first 2 videos and after I press reboot and recovery on the 2nd video, my phone goes directly to the triangle and not the little droid guy. ANy suggestions? I mounted my phone and unzipped the getthetools to just get the tools folder, which I put in the root of my SD card, but still cant figure out what the problem is.

In regards to create Nandroid back up, part two, I have done every step to the key, but when I press enter on the "reboot recovery" line it take me the recovery screen but I only see that it is running the 99.1b version and not the 99.2b. I didn't rename the file when I dragged it to the SDCard Root and I just this day downloaded the file from the attached link. Any ideas?

Make sure you are doing the DroidRootHelper steps EXACTLY to a T... If you dont this will not install the proper stuff to get the ROM's on your phone,
To get your phone updated to the latest recovery you need to use the Terminal emulator app and follow the steps exactly how its shown.
I know it seems kinda hard at first guys, but with patience and practice youll get it down soon. Just follow the videos exactly as it shows, and you shouldnt have a problem. =D

Got it!
VtotheZ: Your right, I missed one, very small step. I failed to put a space in the text for Terminal Emulator on the second command between "...recovery and the ".../sdcard. I read a comment on the YouTube page that clued me in on this and when I went back and listened to your video, I that time caught you saying to put a space in there. And it worked like a charm. So I have easily Rooted the phone, made a recovery back up and both uploaded SmokedGlass V4 and V4.5. Your videos and notes were VERY helpful and your so right. Even a caveman can do it with this help. I noticed on your Droid on the video you have the clock with weather widget on your home screen that comes with the HTC Eris. I have looked for this too, as my wife has the Eris and I love that clock and weather widget better then what comes with the Droid. BTW...I highly recommend to everyone to check out Screebl Pro. Thanks again!

The Links
Aaronmach1: I too at first couldn't find the links. Double click on the video at Android Forum and it will take you to YouTube. Once at YouTbe, look to the upper right of the video and you'll see in gray some text that says Droid Review. Click on the "more info" and you'll see all the notes and the links to be used there.

Guys these videos are intended to watch on youtubes website, you can watch them here but you REALLY REALLY need to follow my steps and links included in the video description by clicking on the "more info" button. That stuff can only be accessed on youtubes site. Sorry
