Question Will an Amazon gift card work for Kindle books on the Touchpad?
From what I understand, the Touchpad comes with a Kindle app.

If I get an Amazon gift card, can I use it to buy ebooks on Amazon and then read them on my Touchpad?

Also, is Amazon the only site that sells ebooks for the Kindle app?

Yes and yes. Amazon is the only site that sells ebooks specifically for the Kindle. The Kindle supports other ebook formats though so you'd have to side load them. Any ebook you buy from Amazon will run on any Kindle - the actually Kindle family, the app on your phone, your pc, their web site, your tablet, etc.....
