Default Camera and Mic question!

OK I know it is not proper to ask when updates are going to be available but I just wanted to see if anyone has found a way to get the microphone and webcam to work. Also if the answer is No is there anyone trying to find it out. I don't want to come across as an impatient bastard that is pushing developers, all I want to ask is if someone has made any progress because I love my touchpad and android. The only thing that is missing from my tablet running completely on android is the video chat.

So basic question do you like your android on touchpad and has anyone made any progress on camera and mic?

CM devs don't hang out here, so we can bend those rules.

Camera is just starting to work with a few CM9 phones so that work may help with us, but the hardware would have to be identical to help us.

I believe the camera worked with CM7, but is very low priority with CM9. I don't believe the mic worked with either. Your best bet at this time would be to boot into webOS.

Yea it seems to me that during the weekend I am only using WebOs because I talk to family in Europe over Skype and Google + . The rest of time I am in android doing my work. There are apps for everything in Android and they seem to be a lot better than WebOs. I know they low priority items I jut wanted to inquire about them. The only thing that I am missing is the ability to video call and I will love my touchpad even more. I have not had one crash with alpha 2. The only thing I had to do is change the wifi channel to something other than 11 because it seems it does not like it.

So yea I hope video and audio input comes soon.

Considering how Dalingrin is going to leave after the kernel gets upgraded, I'm not sure how long that will take.
