Mic still not working with CM9 on HP touchpad

I have downloaded the latest nightly, 20120930, and the latest Gapp. I have ICS 4.0.4 working fine on my touchpad for everything except the camera and mic. I understand the camera doesn't work..no biggie for me..but I wish I could fix the mic to do voice searches, etc. Is there a nightly I should go back and download or some other easy fix? I'm nervous about downloading CM9 all over again because it's working (almost) perfectly now and took me awhile to get there (due entirely to my own ignorance).

Make a backup in recovery and try updating with the July 7 nightly. If that doesn't work, you might try a factory reset (format data) to see if that fixes the mic.

If that doesn't help, you can always restore your backup.

I installed the 7/7 nightly and another nightly or two after that (but not as new as Sept) and my mic still works.

Now I'll really show my ignorance. The oldest nightlies I see available in Goo manager are in August. Where can I find the the July nightlies?

08-19 is the oldest I have and 08-14 is the oldest on goo.

I'd create that backup and try a factory reset. You might have to reflash gApps after. See if that changes anything. If not, try the 8-14 build (or try that first).

I have the 09/03 nightly and my microphone works fine in Google Play Store.
