Default Serious changes for TouchPad in 20120202 nightly

Holy Crap!!!!! Anyone check the BBQlog lately?

http://changelog.bbq.../cm9/1354455073

It's got like 50 changes all "Tenderloin" related, but a the kernel level.

Anyone want to explain what that is all about?

Also looks like next Sunday's nightly will be the official merge of the camera code. Sad, looks like the magnetometer still has not been officially fixed.

You beat me to the camera merge news.

I was just going to post that and the git link I use (much less activity): Gerrit Code Review

From what I understand (and you probably know more), the camera code for CM9 is considered done for now while Dorregaray concentrates on CM10.

BTW, I donated to Dorregaray when his camera code was first merged. Even better that he's working on CM10 now.

lmao! I'm just happy that work is still continuing on CM10. I may have to pick up another TP. I saw one last week in craigslist for $75.

Be careful, cheap TouchPads may have problems.

True, true. Actually, now that you mention it, the seller mentioned that you have to plug the charger in "kinda sideways"! lol. Well, I'm happy with my Thrive, but dang... I'm already getting the bug. Gotta buy something... preferably not new, know what I mean?

I actually am looking for a 10"-range tablet with a rear camera/flash. I know, it's not terribly common and lenovo makes a decent one. As a real estate appraiser, I have to take lots of pictures, every day. I've been using my phone for several years and would love to use a tablet. Why? Well, I'm getting older and I love a huge screen. Also, our appraisal software is being released on Android this coming spring. Soon, I'll be able to take pictures and automatically add them to my report. Some rooms just require a flash.

If you could manage to always use the Touchstone, this wouldn't be a big deal. But I find every once in a while I'm in a situation where I have to use the cord.

I was thinking the same thing. I use USB to copy files some times.
