SMS issues...please help!!!!!

I'm having issues with my HTC Amaze. When my friend who is an iPhone user sends me a SMS message, it doesn't work. I can't open any of the SMS messages she send me, and then it also interferes with messages that my other contacts send me. Everytime I try to send her a SMS message I have to re-enter her contact information. Anybody else having the same issue or can anyone suggest a fix???

Nope. But you seem to have two issues here. Correct us if I've misunderstood.

Issue 1. When Friend A sends you an SMS (not an MMS, phone msg with a picture), you can't open it. You also can't open anybody else's messages after that.

=> What happens? Does the Messages app close suddenly? Give you an error message?

=> Can you open other people's SMS messages before? Can you open their messages after receiving something from Friend A?

=> Have you tried adding one of the HTC Messages widgets to your home screen? If so, what does it show when she sends you a message?

Issue 2. You can't find Friend A in the Messages app addressing, and have to keep reentering her by phone #. That is, you search for her by name or by phone number, she's not found.

=> Can you find her in Contacts? How about if you click "Phone" from your home screen, and dial her number, does her name show up? How about if she calls you, does it only show her phone #, or her name and pic?

=> Where is her contact stored, is it in your Gmail account? Phone only? Do you have T-Mobile contact syncing enabled?

With this information perhaps we can give you more specific help. Less exclamation points, more detailed info, please.

I know a friend who had kind of the same problems with his phone, he went to the store, and they made it again to work.

To answer your questions..

Issue #1--No error message appears, but her text messages do not show up.

All other contact works except for her. I am able to read messages from my other contacts. Everytime I want to send her a message I have to re-enter her contact information.

I haven't tried to add an HTC widget. Don't even know what this is...

Issue#2--I have even tried deleting her as a contact, but this didn't work either.

I am a Canadian mobility customer, we don't have t-mobile.

I'm stumped. Well, for issue 1, you might try clearing all data for the Messages app. Instructions for clearing an app's data is on p. 95 of your HTC Amaze User Guide. Adding widgets to your home screen is introduced on p. 34.

Issue 2 is equally perplexing. Do you have a carrier store you can go into for help? Otherwise, you might want to call your carrier's technical support line.

Thanks...we are on the same network...so I think we'll have to go back to our network and see where the block is happening and maybe they can suggest a fix or something. Thanks for the help!
