There is a leaked official HTC Amaze 4G ICS RUU. But it shouldnt be too long until tmobile sends out the official "official" OTA Update to ICS.

Will this keep the amaze camera apk, or will it revert to the sense 3.6 or ics one?

Ah, I apologise. So what camera app is it using? The same one as normal but tweaked to work on ics? Or has it changed now?

Can anyone tell me how I can get the update when it releases? I have a T Mobile Amaze but I am not in USA and I am running on a Telecom NZ network- they did not release the Amaze here.
Does this mean I'll have to root my phone and load a custom ROM?

No need to root. When the official update is released you'll be able to download and manually install it.

Of you don't want to wait for T-Mobile to push it out to you you can always download it NOW!
[ROM]RUBY_ICS_35_S_TMOUS_2.14.531.3_Radio_1.14.550L.17D C_30.78.550L.15_release - xda-developers
This was a pre release of the update that T-Mobile just anounced . Exact same build numbers and all.
Depending on your style of phone, s-off, root, or just bone stock will determined the way you upgrade.
There are instructions on post 2. Its not that hard and it will not be getting any better unless T-Mobile sends out an update. This is it! Kinda bummed since I have been using it for a few weeks now. Would always want something more :-)

This is only for T-Mobile USA phones.
THIS WILL DELETE ALL FILES SAVED ON THE PHONE SO BACK UP ALL PICTURES MOVIES OR WHATEVER YOU HAVE VIA PC. EASIER TO JUST COPY PASTE ALL CONTENTS
When have downloaded the file on your PC rename the file to ph85img.
Take out the SD card from your phone and place it in the computer. Drag the file to that card and make sure it is not in a folder.
Place SD card back into phone.
Pull battery, Put battery back in
<---important wait about 30 seconds
hold down volume down then hold power until you go into hboot don't touch after that if it says loading your good. If nothing happens read the rest of the posts. We have answered a issue.
After that it does everything for you.
DO NOT TOUCH THE PHONE . Should take no longer then 30 minutes. Your phone will turn on and off that's normal. When you get the welcome screen your done. You have once again a new phone!
Thank for your help X

Sounds like you did not name the file correctly.
just select fastboot for now.
Open up astro and then find the file.
select the file by long pressing it. Select rename. Make sure it reads
PH85IMG and it is in zip format. The way to tell is it looks like a vice clamp.
http://galaxytabs.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/screen_20111022_1324-560x350.png
It says galaxy tab on the pick. Make sure it looks like that img only.
Then start over with the process in my previous post.

okay keep it plugged in. Once you get 80% do the following
Do this:
Pull battery, Put battery back in <---important wait about 30 seconds
hold down volume down then hold power until you go into hboot.
Should see something saying looking for files
DONT TOUCH!
You should see something on the right side saying installing. This is the part that takes a while.
Keep waiting. Let me know what you see when you do this.
