Don't ever buy insurance from the likes of p4u or cpw. You most likely don't need/want it and if you do it can be bought much cheaper from a third party.
Who would you recommend getting insurance with? I managed to get a good deal at P4U and by adding their insurance on top makes a not so good deal. And if they're not very good well then I wont bother, but I am worried about something happening to my phone and not being able to afford a new one if need be.

If you have house insurance, it may be worth checking if that covers it. Otherwise I'm not sure, I generally avoid insurance, the amount over the year could often pay for a repair/secondhand replacement if something goes wrong
If you bank with Lloyds, take one of their paid current accounts out. £8 a month gives you car breakdown, phone insurance and travel insurance..thats what im gonna do

My HSBC Passport got that too. haha. But for international student only, not sure for other account.
As others have said I would suggest home insurance (a lot cover this now) and bank account extras. If those fail Google for it. I guarantee it'll cost less than p4u.
Can't recommended a particular firm. Don't tend to buy any of this kind of insurance or extended warranty myself.
Cheers for your replies people. Yeah I came across compare the market and I think I've found something that suits me. You see I'm quite worried about losing my phone, I have been known to do this many times. Thankfully I've found an Insurance that will also cover me for loss and is cheaper that P4U (who won't cover loss).

Check out this site Mobile Phone Insurance: Cheap cover for your handset... look at the reviews of people who have bought insurance and how they where treated, also be careful as a lot of policies do not cover loosing your phone, i.e leaving it in a pub etc
I have mine insured through my bank account, part of the package. But remember, this is like a regular insurance claim & can take weeks, or even months, before you get a replacement.
I have the P4U insurance leaflet infront of me and it states you are covered for loss. £11.95 a month is pretty steep though. the Excess on the account is £50 but goes down to £10 if you dont claim withinh the first 6 months
I spoke to Jasmin in P4U Preston, who was very helpful and assured me it was a good policy to have.
(i do realise that this is her job and shes bound to be on comission for selling it)
Another way to think of it. Put the money aside every month. If after a year, you lose it, bear in mind a comparable phone will cost less in a years time and your £150 in 'savings' will probably buy you something ok.
If nothing happens at the end of the second year you've actually got a decent chunk of cash towards your next phone.
