Default New phone - best way to condition the battery

Hey all

Just received my DHD from Three as an upgrade to my ageing Nokia E71.

I saw a post recently about the best way to charge the battery for a brand new handset, but can't seem to find it.

I expect this post will be moved, but can anyone help me to give my battery the best start in life?

Many thanks!

Uri

Lithium batteries have no memory effect, so all you need to do is discharge and recharge it a few times so the battery controller can calibrate itself. Once the controller knows the wear leveling and other variables, it will be able to report more accurate charge levels to the phone.

I believe that trick posted above may just accelerate the calibration process.
