If your phone is branded you have to wait until your provider provides the OTA update to 2.21

E.g. when your phone boot up and shows the O2 logo so it's has the O2 brand
Branded phones have some extra apps from their provider.
So the firmware is different from HTC's and the phone needs the OTA update from it's provider.

EDIT: I just had a look in the software info of my DHD: Android 2.21

I think you should ask about in car phone warehouse where you bought your DHD.

My DHD is from Carphone Warehouse, also om o2 and is running 2.21. CPW phones are normally unbranded/unlocked.

o2 hasn't launched the DHD into it's range so the handset you have should be unbranded.

Chippy30, check for updates again. Make sure you are on wifi as well. You should be able to receive the updates.

SpencerUK, they are on 2.2 and they claimed to be unlocked, so they should be on the older software which is quoted above, the old 1.32.

I am just checking with them what version they are on so they can see if they can or cannot get the update. I know there are some 1.4... out there and some TMOB version as well.

Hasn't the 2.2.1 update been pulled by HTC? That would explain why no-one is now seeing it. Mine has been updated to 2.2.1 and, touch wood, no problems so far!

Also what I heard, update was pulled due to the amount of problems people were having like sms notifications ballsing up and sd cards becoming corrupt.
