Default HTC Desire HD screen tap probs.

For some reason the other day, the settings for the screen tapping have changed? All settings are set to max volume and for vibe feedback, and now I can hardly hear the tap and the feedback has stopped. I have been through all the settings and nothing can change it back to what it should be. I have tested the speakers and vibe features and all are working, only the screen tapping isnt working well? Any suggestions.

probably ur system volume is low, download an app called "volume control" from market and check if system volume is low, set it to full and feedback sound will be ok

Now the only issue I have is that I am not getting the vibe feedback from screen selection. Any suggestions? I will do a factory reset if I have too, but would like not to.

Not to ask a stupid question, but is it charged? Vibration is one of the things that gets turned off when it goes into power saver mode.

Yes even at full charge. Strange though, I dont even have a "haptic feedbac" option in sound mgmt. And haptic feedback works with the qwery touch, and the four fixed touch buttons at the bottom of the unit. But it was set to have haptice feedback when you make screen selections and thats gone now? So its not a hardware issue. I have also checked the setting in power mgmt, and as far as I can tell there is no issue. Even when I turn off power mgmt, still the issue persists!? Freaky!

Oh, you mean like when you select an icon? Don't think I ever had the feedback when doing that. It does it when I long press the main screen to add an icon or widget, but never when opening icons and widgets.

I had it, and the other day out of no where that and the system sound settings just changed. I managed the sound through a third party app from the market, but the haptic feedback is off. There in some apps but not for general activity, which I am looking to reactivate. Frustrating.
