Default DHD screen cracked going in for repair. Best way to back up.

Hi there

My DHD screen is cracked and I'm sending it in for repair. What is the best way to back up my phone so as not to loose all my data, settings etc?

Thanks in advance

Your contacts should be backed up to gmail, log into your gmail account via a PC, then click contacts, do you see them?

For SMS, you need one of the SMS Backup and Restore apps available on the market.

Your apps are tied to the google account, so as long as you use the same one to set the new handset up, they should redownload themselves (you will lose data associated with them, game saves etc).

A lot of settings will apply themselves again (as by default they're also backed up to your gmail account), I found that things like my WiFi networks were remembered and there were others, although I can't remember exactly what, it's been a while since I've had to do a factory reset.
