Hello All

I am new to the forum had my htc for a short while now and having an IPHONE for some time, glad to say there is no going back!

However I am having problems setting my hotmail email account up can any offer any help?

I did a google search fo rthe settings, inserted them as per the info but phone just says invaild settings.

Hi,

I have a Desire but am waiting for delivery of the Desire S. The best solution to your Hotmail problem, would be to use Gmail to harvest both Hotmail and Gmail to your one account. That way you have one app for email which can handle both (and possibly more) email accounts.

You will have to set this up on your computer via Gmail, but its pretty simple to do.

Another way would be to install K-9 or Maildroid app which also can handle multiple email accounts. I prefer the Gmail way as I prefer the UI to the others.

hi i had the same problem but ive fixed it ....
Hotmail Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop3.live.com (logon using Secure Password Authentification - SPA, security type: SSL mail server port: 995)
Hotmail Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.live.com (TLS enabled, port 587)
