I imported old contacts to my new HTC Desire S from SIM. This created some weird results, things like Smith/John3 and Family1/Home.

So I synced with Gmail and changed the contacts manually in Gmail. Then I deleted all contacts from my phone.

Now I can't get those contacts from Gmail back to my phone. Sync with Gmail does nothing... it appears to sync but no contacts appear on the phone.

I've tried re-booting and have checked this and other forums for solutions but I can't find one.

Hi,

In the People app on your phone, press menu (or the the 3 horizontal lines) and then select view>> google.

your contacts should show up now.
