Default Type and Send sms's from pc linked to phone?

Does anyone know if it's possible to type and send text messages (sms) from my pc while it is linked to my HTC Desire S? I don't mean webtext (which Vodafone don't do) or Skype texts or similar. Rather using my phone to send the texts but using my usb-linked pc to type them. Any ideas appreciated.

Regards

Dev

Hi Dev!

I haven't used it, but I believe that this is what you are after!

EDIT - you might not even need to use a cable, if I've understood the description on the Market for this app!

I think that MyPhoneExplorer also has the functionality. You'd need to download the app and also the version that goes on your computer, but I think that SMS management/sending/backing up are all possible with MPE.

Yep, MyPhoneExplorer will do what you want via USB, Bluetooth and wifi.

HTC are missing a trick by not having an equivalent to Nokia's Ovi Suite.

I've found HTC's sync software to be rubbish... I tend not to sync my phone with my computer anyway, but have MPE installed for any time I do want to!

There's also LazyDroid. It is not as elegant as Airdroid, however it does have Remote Viewer which is pretty cool. I've been able to use Kakaotalk, Whatsapp on my PC. However it does NOT support keyboard so it is still limited to the mouse. I've found it easier that doing it on my phone.

You can use app SmsLemon. It allows you to send sms by the webstie.
This means that your phone must be within reach of the Internet and then you can send sms via SmsLemon.
