i have been using a custom rom for awhile on my phone, but decided to revert back to RUU, i followed the Revert Desire S to Stock instructions on XDA, however, now i have no recovery or rom, i only have FastBoot, when i try to flash using Fastboot it says Signature verify fail.
Its gone back to the following:
Saga pvt Ship S-ON RL
HBOOT-0.98.0000
Radio-38.03.02.15_M
eMMC-boot
my rom is 12.x.x.x.x this is the issue, but i cannot work out how to change the rom number.
anyone have any idea's?
EDIT: just to clarify this is the rom number, i don't actually have a rom installed.

To clarify, because I don't completely understand your request, can you give the full software number that's currently on your phone and, if different, the software number of the ROM/RUU you wish to replace it with.

there in is the problem my friend, i have only fastboot, i don't have any recovery, rom/ruu. i was flashing the RUU, and it stopped half way through.
Now i litterally have a S-ON android with Fastboot and nothing else.
I cannot run the RUU install, as it says Bootloader version error.
OK. But what was the last working ROM version you had on the phone? And which RUU/ROM are you attempting to install now? Please supply the version/software number of both.
I think the problem you have could be caused by using AlphaRev to get S-Off with a pre-1.47 stock/branded ROM. Not that this will help you at the moment. If so, Fastboot commands will work, but adb commands will not.
'fastboot getvar all' (see FoX777's post) will help further.
need to install a RUU with a number higher than 12, i have tried this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1412398
however it does not work for me, errors when trying to load it.i need to install a recovery image but i get the following
remote: 12 signature verify failed
If you followed the instructions correctly, it's possible you'll get a failure report. However, the HTCDev.com bootloader unlock tool may now work (despite the error). So, if you haven't already, give HTCDev.com a go next.
To install the modified RUU you will need to create a goldcard, the only way you will be able to do this is to create one on the PC with a card reader. Have a look at this thread to get the job done.
HTC's line of Desire phones have been wildly successful. There was the original HTC Desire, then the Desire HD and Desire Z, and now the HTC Desire S will continue the tradition of excellence. There aren't any sweeping changes from the orig... Read More
