Default Can I have less than 7 home screens ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Hi All

I have searched the forums a bit, , and Im wondering if it makes any difference...

A friend of mine uses his Galaxy S2 on only ONE screen. There are no other screens... Apparently it runs a lot faster .

My desire s is slowing down, and I have done a few restores over time.

Is there a way to use only 1 or 2 screens. Would the phone be faster ?

Or is there a decent launcher than runs faster than the standard one ?

thanks in advance

You can get a custom launcher... I.e. launcherpro, golauncherex etc, a few to choose from.

go launcher ex is free from google play and lets you use as many or as few screens as you like.

In Sense 4.0 you can.
Maybe also previous versions (3.5 / 3.6) but I'm not sure.
