Default still got sensor problem

ok guys - i have replaced 3 proximity sensors on my htc desire s regarding the screen going blank when trying to end a call, i cannot end the call with either the power bitton or volume buttons..i have to remove the battery and boot the phone up again...really peeing me off...i have emailed htc..and they deny any knowledge of such a problem and have told me to do the soft and hard reset, which i have done but still the same problem...why dont they do something about this ?..my phone is out of warranty..surely replacing 3 sensors would have fixed the problem, thats if it is a hardware problem....i believe its a software problem which they dont want to fix..really thinking of smashing this phone against the wall ..

this is there reply...standard crap as usual..

"Thank you for contacting HTC regarding your HTC Desire S.

My name is James and I am a Technical Support Agent for the HTC Written Team.

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with the proximity sensor.

I would first ask you to try a soft reset. This is done by removing the battery from the phone while it is still powered on. Leave it out for 5 minutes and then put the phone back together and switch it on.

If you still then have issues you will need to hard reset the phone.

The hard reset will delete all data from your phone so its advised to back up.

Have you downloaded and installed the "HTC Sync" application?
This is a free download from our website - HTC Support Center and must be installed onto the PC before you can connect the phone. Once it is installed, reboot your PC and when Windows has finished loading up connect the phone using the USB cable.
Once you have backed up please follow these steps to hard reset.

There are two ways to reset the handset to factory settings:
1) Please press MENU from the home screen, then tap Settings > SD & phone storage > Factory data reset > Reset phone, or
2) With the phone turned off, long press the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
Wait for the screen with the 3 Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press POWER.
When asked to confirm, press VOLUME UP.

To let me know I have successfully answered your query, please follow the link below to close your enquiry, you will have the opportunity to leave feedback about your experience contacting me today.
