Hi Tom, welcome to Android Forums!

Can you confirm that you're unable to connect to any data service such as web sites or email servers? In Settings/Wireless & networks/Wi-Fi settings, does Wi-Fi indicate "Connected to <your_SSID>"?

Well, that's new. It can browse the internet through a browser but can't open video files on FB? Have you tried the following:

1. Play videos from Youtube
2. Use the data connection through your provider

Have you tried using Friend Stream? It's the HTC app/widget that combines FB with Twitter.
